Canada’s Walk of Fame
Canada's Walk of Fame is a national not-for-profit organization that celebrates extraordinary Canadian achievers. The walk of fame acknowledges the achievements and accomplishments of Canadians who have excelled in their respective fields. Established in 1998, its legacy has grown from an annual one-evening gala to the inclusion of several nation-wide events, programs, and platforms that broaden the reach for all Canadians to attain a success they may have once believed was not possible. To date, there are now over 190 Inductions into Canada's Walk of Fame, with over 270+ Inductees in five Pillars of Achievement. Individuals include athletes, actors, directors, writers, singers, songwriters, musicians, authors, comedians, and supermodels. Famous past inductees include Dan Aykroyd, Pamela Anderson, Margaret Atwood, Will Arnett, Jann Arden, Ryan Adams, John Candy, Catherine O’Hara, Jim Carrey, Celine Dion, and Drake. Interestingly, 14 stars have been given to groups, such as music bands, comedy troupes, and sports teams.
The Inductee Stars are displayed along King Street West (between John Street and Simcoe Street) and Simcoe Street (between King Street West and Wellington Street) in downtown Toronto.
