St. Andrew’s Church is a historic Presbyterian church that resides in the heart of Toronto’s cultural district. Constructed in the romanesque revival style, the building is one of the oldest buildings in the district. The original church building was built in a separate location on Jarvis Street but eventually proved too small.

The current property was completed in 1876 at which time it became known as “New St. Andrews.” Later in the 20th century, the church's location presented a challenge since the area had become largely industrial and later one of the poorest in the city. At that time, there were many discussions of once again moving the church, but each time the congregation voted for it to remain put. The Church doors are traditionally open from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Self-directed tour brochures are available at the entrance and visitors are encouraged to explore the space during their visit.
