Rogers Centre

Formerly the Skydome, this stadium was renamed the Rogers Centre by Rogers Communications in 2005. Opened in 1989, the Rogers Center is the first stadium to have a fully retractable motorized closing roof. Most notably, this stadium is host to the Major League Baseball team, the Toronto Bluejays, having hosted two World Series Championships and an all-star game from 91’ to 93’. The Rogers Center also hosts numerous other sports events, including the annual international tennis tournament, the Rogers Cup. Other Stadium events include concerts, festivals, and carnivals. The Roger Centre is partnered with the Marriott Hotel and offers rooms that look on the event space in the dome basin. Tours and event tickets are available online or at the ticket kiosks at gate eight.
