Steam Whistle Brewing

Steam Whistle Brewing

Constructed in 1929, the Roundhouse, which today is known as Steam Whistle's Biergärten, was previously the home of a Canadian Pacific Railway steam locomotive repair facility and operated as such until 1988. In 2000, the Steam Whistle Brewing Company transformed Bays 1-14 into a brewery that paid tribute to the building's original purpose. Steam Whistle offers year-round tours of their facility and tastings of their numerous fine beverages. It is a great opportunity to explore a piece of Toronto heritage and enjoy a drink with friends. Today, the Roundhouse is designated a National Historic Site and is owned by the City of Toronto.
